Pregnancy is a time of major changes, and it is perfectly normal for your emotions to fluctuate too. You might feel incredibly happy one moment and, shortly after, feel afraid, anxious, or even overwhelmed by everything that is happening. These emotions do not cancel each other out. They can coexist and are part of many women's experience.

Over the years, we have learnt something very important: behind every positive pregnancy test, there is a story. For some families, this pregnancy was very much wanted and long-awaited. For others, it came unexpectedly. Some may have experienced pregnancy loss, fertility treatments, difficult experiences, or personal challenges that often, without them even realising it, influence how they experience this pregnancy.

So, try to welcome all your emotions with kindness and without guilt. There is no "right" way to feel during pregnancy. Every woman travels this path in a unique way, and all emotions deserve to be heard.

Support from those closest to you can make a huge difference. Sharing how you feel with your partner, family, or trusted friends often helps to ease anxiety. The healthcare professionals you have chosen to accompany you are also available to listen to your questions and support you whenever necessary.

Asking for help is a sign of care, not weakness. If you feel that your anxiety is intense, persistent, or is interfering with your well-being, talk to us. The earlier we look after your emotional health, the better it will be for you, your baby, and your whole family.
