Throughout your pregnancy, you will get to know your baby better and better. In the final weeks, it is natural for their movements to change from 'kicks' to stretches, rolls and larger movements, as there is less space inside the womb.

However, your baby should not stop moving or start moving less just because they are close to being born.

Every baby has their own rhythm, so the most important thing is to get to know your baby's usual pattern and be aware of any changes. If you feel that their movements have reduced, stopped, or if you simply feel that 'something is not right', contact SNS 24.

It is always worth checking that everything is okay! Seeking help is never an overreaction, it is part of looking after yourself and your baby.
